The annual consignment sale that is held at Brown Brothers Warehouse, originated in the 1970’s by the Production Credit Association as an annual meeting and sale for their members. It has since grown into the largest annual consignment sale in SC with two sales per year and crowds exceeding 8,000 spectators and 2,500 buyers. We have had buyers and sellers from places as far away as Mexico and Wales England that regularly attend our auctions.
The company was founded by the warehouse owner Alton Brown Jr., who has been in the business of buying and selling farm equipment for over 40 years. We have acquired the talent of several experienced auctioneers from Ohio, Illinois and North Carolina that will conduct the sales.
The company is now in the early stages of expanding their annual auctions to at least three large auctions per year, with the largest being the winter sale which is held on the first Saturday of February. The Kingstree Auction Company is dedicated to providing the best customer service of any other auction company in the nation.
